About Awasunglasses

AWA SUNGLASSES
AWA SUNGLASSES, whose name is patented at the European level, is a line of floating sunglasses. This utility model is also patented for use, especially in the water, and is aimed at all types of audiences, given the increasing need to protect one's eyes from exposure to solar radiation, whether for tourism, casual use, sports, or nautical activities. It is therefore the world's leading sunglasses brand specializing in floating sunglasses, currently offering 17 different models. All are ultralight, feature polarized lenses with a hydrophobic and hardened treatment, and have a minimum CAT. 3 sun filter rating, and CAT. 4 in some cases, for use on the high seas or in high mountains.
The idea of creating sunglasses for swimming arose when Esther Fernández, General Manager of AWA Sunglasses, was diagnosed with a pinguecula during a summer stay on the Costa Brava, during an optical check-up, caused by excessive solar radiation. From that moment on, she was recommended to wear sunglasses frequently, especially on the beach and even while swimming, since the risks of sun exposure are high.
Anyone who has bought a pair of sunglasses for summer use, if they are of excellent quality, will fear that they will be damaged by salt water, sand, sunscreen, or that the waves will cause them to be lost... which raises the question of whether there are any sunglasses on the market that allow you to swim while being fully protected and without fear of losing them. This is where a niche market really emerges because the opticians' response is that there is nothing specific and that is why some people, for fear of losing more expensive glasses, decide to opt for simpler ones even with the risk of
suffer a retinal burn since the lenses are often not of optimal quality.
In this way, AWA SUNGLASSES ensures:
Protection : It offers the customer a product with adequate protection for their eyes when going to the beach or the sea and thus avoid eye injuries caused by excessive solar radiation such as pinguecula, pterygium, solar keratitis and in the long run, aging of the cornea among other injuries because water reflects 20% of sunlight caused by the reflection of light on the surface.
Savings and Enjoyment : Allowing the customer to save money and enjoy the water without fear of losing their glasses while swimming. How many glasses have you lost in the sea, lakes, swamps, rivers...?
Environmental care : Whatever floats, the sea returns. What sinks and reaches the bottom will remain there for years until the water decomposes it, causing environmental damage. Our glasses will never become part of the ocean floor.
A philosophy of life : We want to represent unsinkable people. All those who don't sink in the face of difficulties, those who strive to achieve their dreams, and those who manage to stay afloat and adapt positively to adverse situations. To achieve this, we use the term 'Unsinkable Life' as a philosophy of life perfectly adapted to today's complex circumstances, where our glasses are the best ally, the most complete accessory.
